About Robert

Robert Sauls was born and raised in Independence, Missouri

The son of a single mother, Robert and his sister were raised in a one bedroom house. His mother worked tirelessly as a factory worker to put food on the table and make ends meet.

Robert‘s mother taught him to work hard and to use his voice for those who did not have one. That was the motivation behind Robert’s ambition to become an attorney. Robert uses his voice to speak for his constituents in Jefferson City.

In 2013 Robert began working with the Jackson County Family Court and since 2016, Robert Sauls has been a Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney. Robert has tried cases ranging from misdemeanor non-support of a child to murder in the first degree.

As a prosecutor, Robert has kept our community safe by prosecuting murderers, child molesters, drug dealers, and gang members.

Robert is an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate for the United States Air Force Reserves. As a captain in the Armed Forces, Robert counsels and protects those who protect us.

Robert covers a wide range of legal issues dealing with administrative law, wills and estate planning, environmental law, international relations, civilian and military personnel law, and law of war.

Robert understands exactly what it is like to grow up without a father, and he truly understands just how important it is to have an active, loving, and supportive father in a young child's life.

Being a father is Robert's favorite thing in life. He's served his son as a basketball and baseball coach and looks forward to continuing to play an active role in his life.
